I have been unable to sync my device since Dec 21st so tried all the previous tips and tricks
I've tried restarting my phone, restarting the device, unpairing on my phone's bluetooth (Google Pixel 2) and unsyncing device with my Fitbit account.
I'm now trying to set up my Charge 3 again and unable to do so.
My phone and device connect and I can enter the pair PIN but when it then tries to connect, it fails and end up with the X in a circle.
Also tried to set up device via laptop instead of phone and the same problem occurs.
I've tried waiting 5 minutes, half hour and over an hour but the same problem still occurs.
I've tried pairing via my phone bluetooth options but nothing happens.
Can anyone suggest anything else?

I have the same phone (Pixel 2), same Fitbit (Charge 3), same problem (pairing fails after entering PIN), and starting on the same day (Dec 21st). Coincidence ?!?!
I tried all the usual steps as well. Reboot phone, reinstall app, reboot Charge 3, etc. but still cannot connect.

FWIW ... I had a chat with Google Support. They made me put the phone in the Safe Mode, and then back in the normal mode to see if that resolves the issue. No luck.

Another data point (to confirm your finding above): the issue appears on iPhone too.

I just purchased a Charge 3 and have the exact same problem doesn't pair with the Pixel 2 after putting in the pin. I have had a certified google instructor (family member) who also has a pixel phone and cannot figure this out. Guess I will be returning this product.
