Charge 2 - GPS Mileage not tracking correctly.

I have been going for runs recently with my Charge 2 GPS Connected on my cell phone.  According to Google Timelines I run 4 km - which was all tracked by my phone's GPS and is correct if compared to the path distance on Google Earth.  This is also the same number that I used to see in Fitbit for the same run route.  But in the Fitbit app it only shows as 3.33 km.  Something similar is happening with all of my recent runs - I have been running different routes around my neighbourhood for more than a year with my Charge 2 GPS Connected Fitbit and all of these routes are showing as less than they have been in the past and less than what the path distance on Google Earth shows. This has been happening since September, but I thought it would get fixed in the next update, but never does.  I have thoroughly reviewed the 'How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device' page and can see nothing discussing this item.

My Charge 2 is connected to my phone GPS - and my phone's GPS seems to be tracking correctly, so why am I getting the wrong number showing in my Fitbit app?  (my phone is a Huawei P10 and is on the supported list)

Any ideas?

No ideas to help, but mine does the same thing.  I've run the same routes for years with different watches/phones all having the same distance and the Versa 2 is always significantly shorter.  It's also not consistent with the distance it gives me on the same routes.  I'm back to wearing my garmin and Fitbit if I really want to know distance/pace.

I've got the same issue. I think it started around the same time too! My charge 2 jusg seems to rando ly pick a distance. A 5k parkrun can be anything fro. 3k to 4.5k,yet its always the same route. I had to pace at parkrun using my phone in my hand, and strava Instead of the easy option of my fitbit on my wrist! I'm training for a half marathon now and want to be able to track my distances accurately without having to get my phone out to check. I also found 9ver the past 2 days my fitbit isn't auto recognising walking for over 15 mins, yet it is randomly tracking imaginary elliptical workouts when I am literally sat on my sofa watching TV! If I could afford it I'm sure I would have ditched the fitbit in favour of a garmin by now.
