Charge 2 Stairs Accuracy

Yesterday the Charge 2 recorded 140 stairs while I was at the gym and running the snow blower. I expected 4 at the gym and maybe 2 or 3 at home but none operating the snow blower. How does the Charge 2 track stairs and is it 'broken'?

Your fitbit tracks stairs by detecting changes in air pressure through a small hole in the case. It can get confused by weather fronts moving through that affect air pressure and can also get confused in windy conditions. Could the snow blower have caused wind on the fitbit?
