Charge 2 Sync Issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been experiencing syncing issues with my Charge 2. It had been that I just needed to delete it from my phone's bluetooth and then resync and the app would recognize it. This had to be done every couple days, then every morning, and now it doesn't work.

I can resync it with my Samsung Galaxy s8/Windows 10 PC (so it appears that the bluetooth is working...), but the app will not recognize it. After multiple unpairings and repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting the Charge 2/phone/PC, and trying to sync it with my Windows 10 PC (none of which worked), I tried to remove the device from my account and to reinstall it. I got as far as "We have found your device" and putting in the code, after that I get an error and it will not pair. This has been super frustrating.

This all began after the roll-out of the firmware upgrade and the new app interface. (And I see that there have been a lot of bugs with the firmware, so wondering if that is the problem...)

Is there something else I can try?

Only this weekend I am having the same problem yet others that I am in a challenge with are able to sync. What is the go are fitbit trying to tell those that we should upgrade, I say to that conatact me in Australia and I am more than happy for them (Fitbit) to send me a new Charge 3 or Iconic. Otherwise stop putting out updates that would appear to still have bugs. Suggestion: Get R & D to try it on their own devices first before putting out to general public. Same goes for all present and future work. But then what would I know I am just a customer, and once upon a time customers were always right!! I hope the moderators read this better yet those in R & D and actually take note, and please don't come back with resetting it because I have done that once and I lost all my previous data which included doing 100,000 steps in a week twice. So please fix in the next update. More importantly don't let this happen,  maybe forget new release eg Spo2 tracking.

I've been having the same problems for the past two days.  Up until Saturday, my Fitbit Charge 2 synched perfectly, no problems at all.  Now, all of a sudden, it won't synch, even when I follow all the steps on Fitbit's help forums, which used to work on the rare occasions when my Charge 2 didn't synch — worked, that is, until this weekend!

So, Fitbit, what's up here?  Looks like your latest firmware upgrade has broken the link with my Fitbit Charge 2!  What's the solution here?  Inquiring minds want to know!  Why aren't you responding?

And no, I don't want to buy a Charge 3 just yet, not while my Charge 2 is still fully functioning (well, it was, at least, functioning until Friday night!).

I feel that Fitbit isn't particularly bothered ; it would rather spend its time and resources on its new products. Well, if it continues to ignore these problems then when I come to replace my Charge2 it will not be with another fitbit.

I expect a better service!

Where is their integrity?

I have reported the same issue with my Charge2 , but Fitbit is  in no hurry to help. Their default is that my new phone doesn't support fitbit.

Rubbish! Before the latest update my Charge2 synced perfectly with my Huawei P30 Pro withno issues whatsoever.

I would like to uninstall the latest update a) because then it'll synch with my phone; and b) I don't like  the new dashboard which is far too fussy; but according to fitbit there are no plans to facilitate this feature.

I can synch it to my Windows10 computer. It is not ideal but I won't be buying another fitbit at this rate; and I am certainly not replacing my new phone which is what has been suggested!
