For the second time in a month my charge 2 logged an extreme amount of steps. 30,000 extra, today, when I put it on. How do I correct this? I've already done the charge and reset thing. Thanks.

Is the Fitbit near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.

 

You can enter a driving record to get rid of them

No, it was just on a shelf.  Both times it suddenly recorded a ton of steps, both times as a zero ending number, 30,000 today, and 60,000 last time. It is bizarre.
