Charge 2 not charging

My fitbit charge 2 has stopped charging. 

i have cleaned all the charging point and the charger cable points as well. 
the screen will show me the Battery icon with a ! In it. 

tried different charging points etc. Problem still exists. 

any help?

Thanks for the details and troubleshooting performed. If you haven't tried it yet, please perform a restart as instructed here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
