Since last synch a couple days ago, nothing I can do will result in a fresh synch. My newish Galaxy A50 has been synching perfectly for last two months now nothing after every conceivable restart. The Charge 2 is connected to the phone app.
I also notice that the Galaxy A50 does not appear on your "approved Android" list. But it has been working fine for last two months until two days ago.
Have tried everything. Need Step-by-Step recovery instructions
Thanks, warcloudwells

Hi, not saying it is the same problem that I had. But I have a samsung A10 and I couldn't sync with my charge 2. I found out that if you go into settings and go to your phone update and press on check for updates, there might be an update which will fix the problem. It worked for me.

Thanks bro, Ph phone has all updates in, last one 12/6, after which synching was perfect until 12/10
Hopefully a forum moderator can help get the Charge 2 to re-synch with a Galaxy A50.

Alrite mate, have you done a physical check for updates. I've got auto update on but didn't update the latest software update??
If you haven't tried that, go on your settings, press on software update, then press on download and install and see if anything happens.

Thanks again, but the A50's "check for updates", "history of updates" and a big green checkmark all tell the same story: All system and software updates are current to 12/6/19.
The dang Charge 2 quit bluetoothing to the Galaxy A50 on 12/10, and now my last two days of sleep and exercise are blank. I've probably done everything on the help FAQs and forums, but I'm not a software engineer. The phone KNOWS the Charge 2 is there, but no data coming over.

That's wierd, because your symptoms were the same as mine.
I searched on the forums and found the answer I've told you. Sorry I can't help anymore than that. Hope you find the answer.

Yes it continues weird, because I'm getting EVERY FEW MINUTES a notification of an apparent failed sync. The notification provides three buttons Sync/Challenges/Account. But pressing the notification it appears to tell you how to connect. But I am only returned to the "Account" page, which merely reminds me of my last Sync two days ago. No button on the notification seems to aqllow me to re-sync my charge 2 to my Galaxy A50. I have pressed every button in last few hours, and yet I get a fresh notification from Fitbit within a few minutes.
This Fitbit is going into the dumpster soon!

Have you tried using a different phone to connect to your fitbit!
I use an old Motorola when I go running as its smaller for my back pocket. When I had the issue with my samsung the Motorola worked fine and it connected all the time. It would sync with my fitbit and show all the stuff I've done. Then, when I went on my samsung, all the stuff would be there. That told me it was an issue with my phone and not the charge 2. It was a start.

Thanks again, but I've had perfect 18-month connectivity over two phones (new Galaxy A50 for the last six weeks - until two days ago), and I have loved the Charge 2 virtually 24/7.
Now, I guess I should elevate the new non-connectivity to the Fitbit masters. Still love the forum.

I've been investigating, and can probably now totally blame the Galaxy new A50 for lack of sync. Very oddly it sync'd perfectly for the first 4 or 5 weeks I owned it, and then about 7 days ago no joy. In fact Bluetooth can't seem to discover anything to pair with in my house. My previous phone still finds 3 or 4 pairing options when I turn it on.
Further, when my old phone (3-year old LG) is turned on and activated, it easily picks up my Fitbit Charge 2 data updates. It then, astonishingly, shares the data with my W10 desktop AND THE NEW GALAXY A50. No idea how it does that.
Baffled, I found a couple youtubes that showed the soft reboot procedure for the Charge 2. Does not work for me because I'm guessing that the new A50 is simply dead to Bluetooth pairing.
Status: the Charge 3 is working normally. Something is wrong with the Galaxy software update on Dec 6. I'll investigate further on the Galaxy forum and report back.....

OK, I finally had a breakthru after a rather confusing chat with an "expert" in the Samsung (A50) community. Everything sync-ing now.
The evidence was that the phone's Bluetooth could find no devices, and that there had been a Samsung-issued software upgrade on Dec 6. Well duh, you apparently need to manually reset the phone after software upgrades. Who knew? You will find the reset button under the "General Management". This looses no data but you will have to re-install your home wifi encryption key to resume all phone functionality. After this "soft" reset, the phone's Bluetooth found the devices that I expected, including the Charge 2.
All well now.....

I'm having the same exact problem with my A50, reflecting NO data since 12/13 (last sync date)...
