Charge 3 Faded Display

I like fitbit, but I am on my second one now. The first, a Charge 3, got dimmer and dimmer until it was illegible. Replaced with charge 4 and, a year in, it is discharging very quickly. I need to charge it all the time. I see in the forums, (I am not allowed in the Charge 4 forums for some reason) battery issues are common trends in Fitbits. The final blow is that Fitbit now tells us how fortunate we are now that Fitbit has been absorbed by Google. Are they kidding? Google messes up everything they touch. My Thermostat is a mess from the moment they took that over. Not Fitbit is another way Google can harvest into. Well, sadly, that’s the last straw. Time to move to a different tracking system. I’m not a fan of Google and I should not have to purchase a new Fitbit each year because my current one is already wearing out. Your experience may be different, I am simply sharing mine. 😊

Hi @Loopydloop you posted in the Charge 4 area - it's incorporated into the Other Charge Trackers forum. Did you try getting with customer support? They can "see" more on their ends and would best know your current options.

I understand how you feel.  I am on my 4th fitbit and they have all done the same thing.  I hate to loose all my information since I have been with fitbit for years, but I can't keep replacing them either.  My last one was replaced by fitbit, but now it is doing the same thing.  Fed up.

I as well am leaving Fitbit for good. Have owned 3 different Fitbit 3 and each one has had issues. One was replaced and the other two I got no support whatsoever from Fitbit. Unfortunately their products are faulty and even with all the issues..dimming screen, lines across the screen and unable to charge, and now blank screen and won’t reset. Have only used this newest Fitbit 3 about 10 days total. So so dissatisfied with this company and I discouraged friends and family from ever considering buying one.  Sorry Fitbit..so many people had there have been ripped off by your subpar products.

I am sorry to see that a lot of other people are having similar problems. No comment from Fitbit at large. I guess they are simply part of the business trends that hype and run. I will check out other replacement options and report back in time. 😊🥂

Hi there @Loopydloop. Welcome to Community Forums. @Habitaz and @mudslidemary, it's great to see you around in the Community. @Odyssey13 thanks for the information shared.

I appreciate the comments and feedback. I'd recommend you follow these steps to restart your device.

You can try to change your clock face, if this fixes the issue, you can change it back to the original clock face. If you are using a third-party clock face, please switch to a Fitbit clock face and try the troubleshooting again.

Also check if the Sleep Mode or Do Not Disturb Mode are On in your device.

Regarding the battery issues you can check these articles, Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? and Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?.
