Charge 3 - GPS not mapping route App on Android

On Monday (9/21) the app stopped tracking the map.  It recognized I started a bike activity and gives the stats but does not show the map.  It did the same thing on 9/23.  Any suggestions on how to fix?

Hi @Lminute, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3 is not registering your mapping route when using the GPS feature.

 

Please restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how the GPS feature works on your Fitbit device. It also contains some troubleshooting steps for you to try.

 

Finally, monitor your Charge 3 during your exercises and see if it registers your maps properly.

I had tried all of this before, but it didn't help.

What did appear to help was to make sure the location setting on my phone
was turned "always on" for the Fitbit app. I had previously set it only for
on "when app is in use".
