Charge 3 Heart Rate stopped working

All of a sudden This morning the heart rate stopped showing on my tracker, just showing - - instead. I see the LEDs are not fluttering like my husbands. I have done the following:

 

reboot from Charge 3 settings 

reboot while connected to charger-got smiley face

removed device from app and re added

updated app

turned heart rate setting off and on again

turned all day sync off and on
cleaned sensor

loosened strap

tightened strap
Tried on other wrist

 

anything else i can do?

This was a Christmas gift and I have had 3 replacements. Very disappointed, my daughter has one and no problems so far. I love this thing and I'm afraid to recommend friends to buy one when I'm asked.
