Bought my Charge 3 on 23 Dec 2018. It died end of May 2019. Tried recharging, tried all the tips to get it to turn on, to reset it, to get it to do anything. No luck. Bought an Apple Watch cause I thought it would be more reliable. Was going to throw away the Fitbit a couple of weeks ago, and gave it one last try to reset it and charge. Had success, but it won't hold a charge more than about 10 -12 hours. Which is useless for tracking steps through the day and tracking sleep.
Everywhere I search to find out the expected life of the battery, ie should it last 2 years for e.g. I only find how long the battery should last between charges, not the actual expected life of the battery itself. All up I think Fitbit are very poor quality. For a product to only work for 6 months is ridiculous. I couldn't find the receipt to get warranty.

Welcome to the Community, @Stmartins.
Thanks for troubleshooting this battery issue and for the feedback. If your tracker isn't holding a charge, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? and follow the tips provided there. After following them, test your unit.
I will see you around. 🙂
