The same old 'black screen but still vibrates' problem happened to my Charge 3 today. Tried as the community said.
Connect charge cable and press button for 8-15 second -- Nothing, no rebooting, nothing.
Try to sync to my iPhone (newest version of app I can find, v. 3.36, tried restart phone as well and didn't make a difference), it is not syncing and the last syncing time was only hours before the incident. And of course, without syncing the 'change clock face' trick is not working either.
Anything else I can try?
