Charge 3 black screen

I was having trouble seeing anything on my screen outdoors.  Took the advice given in the help section to change it to auto and my screen went black.  I cannot see anything to turn it back to normal.  Tried other recommended fixes.  Nothing works!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner.

I've moved your post to Charge 3 board so we can keep our forums organized.

I am sorry to hear the screen on your tracker went black after changing the brightness setting to "Auto". Thanks for trying to resolve this, I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. Have you tried to restart your tracker: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

You may also try changing a clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I also have the same problem! At first the screen started to have lines across them and the screen slowly started to disappear. I charged it overnight, held the button down while charging, all of the tips recommended, and now it's completely blank!

I have the same problem. My device was purchased 3 months ago. None of the fixes suggested have worked. I also note that this problem has been reported since the end of 2018. Why have Fitbit not provided a permanent fix yet?

I have the same problem. I have tried to change clock face. Doesn´t work. I cant restart it, because the screen is black? Can I do that frpm the app? I don´t want to loose any data.

I tried restarting it but never knew if it was on because nothing appeared on the face. I also had tried to reset the clock but when you cannot see it, I had no idea it worked. I discovered in my dark bedroom I could faintly see some numbers. I was able to determine the Fitbit didn’t go to auto but to dim and I couldn’t get it to go back to normal and stay on normal.
Yesterday morning I tried everything again and in a dark room was able to get it back to normal. Very, very frustrating.

Hello, I have the same problem as do several others that I can see. I don't understand how rebooting my device will work as I can't see anything on the device, so following your procedure simply doesn't work! Please advise
