Charge 3 black screen

My charge 3 had lines show up on it. Then after about 2 weeks the lines filled it and the screen went black. 

It still tracks and links. Nothing is visible on the screen. I have tried to reset it, let it die, and all the other "tricks". Nothing fixed it. 

 

I then go on the app to contact customer support and it wants me to sign up for twitter to contact them. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. What was wrong with the old way? It worked. I digress.

 

Any chance anyone know how to fix this or how to get it replaced before it finds itself face to face with a sledgehammer?
