A friend gave me a Charge 3 new in the box. Charged it and the display is blank so can't see the number to pair it with the app. I've tried the 15 second reset procedure about 20 times. No luck. What pieces of utter crud these fitbits are. I've gone through a few. The best case is that the display cracks after six months but it still works for a year or so.

I'll be happy to suggest you some advice.
Please confirm if you performed the restart procedure explained here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Confirm as well if your Fitbit app is up-to-date. We are currently under the 4.65 version.

Best AnswerI've tried all those. No help. I never see anything on the watch face (no clock, smiley face, or battery level indicator).

Best Answer@Kjohrf Just my two cents, but I don’t think there is anything that will fix that Charge 3 screen. In all the posts from users whose screen failed, I never saw a fix for it.
If you aren’t aware of this, that Charge 3 was manufactured in 2018. It is considered a legacy device.
