Charge 3 blank screen

My Charge 3 was bought a few years ago and my phone shows I last synced it in 2020. Version is 20001.63.5. I'd like to use it again but need to understand if it's dead or recoverable.

The screen is totally blank, no display. The watch is not connected to my phone by bluetooth. It still vibrates when pressed and if I let it charge a bit it sometimes still shows the green light on the back, on skin contact. So it seems at least some function is preserved.

Here's what I've tried:

1) I cleaned the charging pins with rubbing alcohol and plugged it in via USB. It gives one vibration to indicate it's charging/connected, but there is nothing on the display.

2) If I press and hold to restart while it's plugged to charge I get the initial vibration, then two seconds later I get either one or two short vibrations so it seems the touch has been "let go". If I just continue to press it for 15 seconds I don't get any other vibrations so it doesn't seem like it's arriving to the restart condition. Once again, nothing on the display.

3) I cannot change the watch face on the app like I've seen suggested in other posts, since my phone is not connected to the watch and it doesn't show up in bluetooth devices.

What am I missing? It still seems to vibrate when I press it even when disconnected from charging. Is my Charge 3 still usable?

Hello @BeaA and welcome to the Community.  I don't think your Charge 3 is recoverable.  I know you haven't used it in a while, but Fitbit's monochrome screens fail over time.  Sorry.
