I was sent a brand new charge 3 as the last one was an overpriced watch that couldn't tell the time and have been trying to set up for over an hour. According to message on screen, linking is taking longer than usual. Have Fitbit given up on running the charge 3 services?

Hi @Beanybop, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your new Charge 3 is taking a long time to be set up. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.
Please restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. After this, try the setup process again as described in this help page and see if it gets set up properly.
