Charge 3 charging difficulties

Almost every time, probably 9/10, I try to charge my fitbit, I have to reset it multiple times before it will actually charge. This has been going on for several months now. All the functions seem fine, although I also have to reset pretty often, maybe 1/3, to connect to the app as well.

Hi there @Rumbleehockey03, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the charging difficulties you've been experiencing with your Charge 3 the last couple of months. Thanks for letting me know that you need to reset it in order for it to properly charge.

As per the description of your post, it seems that your Charge 3 is not having a good connection with your charger and that would explain the hard time you have when is time to charge it. Said that, I recommend doing the following:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

Give this a go and let me know if you see an improvement when charging your Charge 3. I'll be around.
