Charge 3 display corrupted

I received the Charge 3 for Christmas and have loved it so far!

 

A few weeks ago, I started to have issues where the screen wouldn’t turn on quickly with one push of the side button. It was taking 2 or 3 tries. I wasn’t worried about it and assumed it was due for a charge. Now, within the last few days, the screen has slowly started to disappear (black lines running through) to where I can’t read the time or the seconds. However, the date is perfectly legible.  

Anyone ever had this issue? Any ideas how to fix it? I tried charging fully, restarting, etc. I sure hope this isn’t the end of the charge since it’s only 5 months old.
