What criteria marks a day of exercise? My charge 3 never tracks my workouts. The fitbit app does show 50 plus active minutes but this apparently does not qualify as a day of exercise. I am not sure what I need to do to properly track exercise days per week. I have a goal set but never reach it because I never know what fitbit will consider exercise. (I do Orange Theory Fitness burning 500 calories plus in those 50 plus minutes so it should definitely calculate as a day of exercise)

Any day with a recorded exercise will show up as day with an exercise.
There really are only a few detectable exeresizes, the rest need to be manually started on the tracker.

Its unfortunate that fitbit doesn't auto recognize based on heartrate but thank you for the response. I guess I'll set my expectations to no longer track exercise in this app.
Thanks again for the quick response.

In general a change in heart rate will nnot say much about the type of movements. Where as f the arm are. Consistent among users.

Does anyone know if FITBIT stopped tracking days of exercise? My steps always couter but suddenly stopped this past WED (@%MAR). Everyday - my daily tracker states 10K+ steps but the weekly exercise tracker is no longer working.

Same issue. Since the app updates it seems prior recognized activity changes and there’s never any notice or info. Getting to the point that what made fit the best fitness trackers out there is no longer the case. You can’t keep making system changes without informing customers. 1+ hr weight program manually enter today not recognized activity. Same things done yesterday and it was recorded. Going to have to what else is available. Not the company I started with many years ago. Zero customer focus. Disappointing

Days of exercise are days where Fitbit has recorded exercises. Such as a run, walk, weights, etc. Only days with a recorded event will show up as a counted towards your weekly days of exercise.

That’s exactly what is happening to mine. Seems with update/refresh now only one exercise is tracked. Tried to switch to walking mode but it won’t change the tracking. Not impressed with tech Dept.

@Postie8 I'm not sure what you mean by "only one exercise is tracked".
Is this only one type of exercise is tracked, or is it only one exercise a day is tracked.
Are you depending on the auto detection of exercises or are you choosing the exercised and tapping start.
This thread is asking about days with recorded exercises not showing up in the weekly X of Y days on the dashboard. Is this your issue?
