I just started using my Charge 3. I drive a lot for work between jobs. Today i drove about 3 hours and my Charge 3 logged 30 flights of stairs and a couple thousand steps.
This greatly throws off my calorie count. I read that you can create a driving activity during your drive time to adjust your calories. Doing this is not only very inconvenient to do (i would need to do it 10 times a day) but it also causes inaccuracies because that time doesn't count the calories your body burns when it is just sitting.
Is there a better work around that Fitbit suggests? Is there a fix in the works for this? It would be as easy as having the charge linked with the app and when the phone senses motion over 10mph the charge can go into a driving mode where it doesn't track steps or stairs.

Welcome to the Community, @yeahyeahyeah.
I appreciate the feedback provided. Fitbit has worked hard to make sure that our devices do not pick up false steps or activity recordings while driving. Unless you're driving in a car with a very stiff transmission or on bumpy roads, your device should not give you any false readings.
If your device does record false activity, you can learn how to delete the data by following the steps in the article: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?.
Let me know how it goes. 🙂

Thank you for the response. As I said in the original post, that method of deleting inaccurate steps and flights of stairs is very inconvenient and it causes an inaccurate reading of calories. I understand that this product is continuously under improvement. I also understand if the method you described may be the best work around for this problem at the moment.
In my original post I described a possible method that your development team might use to combat this problem.
Please pass it on to them.
It seems to me that some priority should be placed on this, as the inaccurate registration of steps and flights and stairs certainly produces an inaccurate calorie count, which greatly diminishes this tools ability to track health progress.
Thank you for passing my feedback on to the appropriate departments.

Here here - not many of us can jog at 10mph plus. There are lots of people requesting a drive mode but this is a bug - no mode needed - just stop it from counting steps whilst in a vehicle.
