HI

I just received my Charge 3 and was wondering how I can get this fitbit to buzz every time I am running  and hit another mile marker? Thanks!

Welcome on board @ms6141, it's nice to see you around the Forums! Woman Very Happy For Charge 3, customize various settings for each exercise type right on your device. For example, choose to:

  • Turn GPS on or off
  • Automatically pause an activity when you stop moving (auto-pause)
  • Receive alerts when you reach certain milestones during your workout (cues)
  • Track runs automatically (run detect)

To customize your settings:

  1. On your device, open the Exercise app.
  2. Swipe through the list of exercises to find the one you want to customize.
  3. Tap the gear icon, or swipe up on Charge 3, and swipe through the list of settings.
  4. Tap a setting to adjust it.
  5. When you're done, press the back button to return to the exercise screen.
  6. Tap the exercise screen and then tap the play icon to start the workout.

Receive time or distance-based updates on your Fitbit device during a workout with cues.

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap Exercise Shortcuts.
  3. Tap Run.
  4. Turn on Run Cues and set your time or distance-based updates.
  5. Sync your device.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need further assistance!

Hi!

I was wondering if the Charge 3 will vibrate at each mile marker? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I do not see run cue in the app.

Until recently, I got the buzz notification at every mile.  I liked that.

Following the moderators directions, I also don't see "Run Cues".

Go to the exercise shortcuts, click on 'run'.  There you will see 'lap type' and 'lap every'.  Click on these to set them to what you want.

Thanks, but it still doesn't give the satisfying buzz when I hit each
mile. I get it when I do all of my steps, though.

I might be late to this thread but I am trying to turn the mile notifications OFF on my Carge 3. For me they are a distraction while running.

I have found the "Exercise Shortcuts" in the app in my mobile but the only option in any of them is "Show laps" with options "off" and "auto". All mine are set to "off".

Also, I'm not sure this is relevant but I get notifications regardless of whether I'm using any app on my Charge 3.
