Sometimes my charge 3 will reduce my calories burned or even take away steps if I manually logged activity that it failed to auto-recognize. For example, today I ran for 30 minutes. Its set to auto recognize at 14 minutes. My heart rate was definitely in the cardio and above range. I decided to log the exercise in myself and it reduced the calories I had burned and took away steps. Anyone else having this problem? Is this a tech issue I should bring up? Thanks for any info.

@Frog70 . Thank you for your message and information! I'm glad to see you here.
Just to avoid confusions:
When you log an activity manually, depending on the information you put in ( distance, duration, etc) the app will calculate your burned calories and amount of steps.
Also the manually logged activity will overwrite the data of your tracker during the time frame you gave in, so that all other activities, steps etc recorded during that time, will be show, with the information that you put in the activity.
Regarding the auto recognition.
There could be different reasons why your activities were not recorded or recognized.
E.g. the activity is not fully recognized by your movement patterns.
You paused for more than 30 seconds during the first few minutes, so it could be that the tracker "thought" that the exercise was over.
I recommend restarting your tracker and setting the start times for the activities differently. E.g. for a walk, set to 10 minutes, run to 15, outdoor bike rides to 20, etc. and / or to ignore the activities that you do not use.
You can find the instructions here. Can I change how my activities are tracked?
How do I restart my Fitbit device?
See you around.
