Charge 3 screen black

Hi. My charge 3 screen has gone black. It is still syncing and recording data and vibrating on touch etc. Just the screen is not working. I got lines across the screen before it went completely off. I have tried all suggestions of rebooting it by holding for 15 secs while on charge, then taking it off charge and putting it back on...no smiley face. Tried changing clock face...still nothing. I see from the community that this is a pretty big issue across the board with the charge 3! Any advice would be appreciated. Maybe this is a defect after the latest update??
