Charge 3 screen is too dim

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My. Harte is is less than 3 years old. My screen is so dim that I have to go into a pitch black closet to read it to change the brightness-which doesn’t change a thing no matter what setting I have it on. Also it has all of a sudden stopped tracking my sleep and I haven’t changed the setting in my Fitbit. I have reset it but again, have to go into a dark closet to do it in order to read the screen. Frustrating!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @coreeb. I'm sorry to hear you have to go to a closet to read your Charge 3.

Thank you for letting us know that you have restarted your device. Please check help article: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

Also, please try the long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Catch you later.

I have reset it 2ce and it hasn’t changed a thing! I’m very disappointed and frustrated. I can’t even see what time it is and unable to track my sleep. Would like to know the warranty on this!

Thanks for getting back to us and for following advised troubleshooting steps @coreeb

I understand how frustrating this could be and suggest to change your tracker's clock face. Follow the instructions of: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

You can check the Warranty here.

See you around.

Just go to settings/brightness and select brightness you want Dim/Normal/Auto. It defaults to dim
