Hello, Got my charge 3 at end of May 2020 and screen was not as bright as charge2. Now, a few weeks later, I can no longer read the screen in any kind of light. I have done all the resets and reboots to no avail!
Even tried a different clock face. Device is not usable in this condition.

I just had the same thing happen. After I tried all resets, I read through many of the 80+ pages of a similar post. One person said to swipe 5 times to get to the settings page. I also tried going in a totally dark room, and I could see it a little. After swiping - It was 4 times for me, you tap the top. I had to tap it twice, and it went back bright. I did this OFF the charger. Good luck.
Please help me too. I have tried all of the reboot tips etc in the forums about a dim screen with no success. I can only see me screen now in a total darkened room.
I have exactly the same issue on Normal its hard to see in a dark room and auto is almost invisible in a completely dark room. Really frustrated. Wasn't always like this
The charge 3 dim screen issue is very disappointing. I have reset several times added upgrades reset again and still cannot read the screen. The charge 3 is basically useless. Why can’t Fitbit support provide an update or solution for this annoying problem
This worked for me
Best AnswerSame here. It’s unusable.
