Charge 3 screen too dim

My Charge 3 screen is excessively dim, even with a full charge.  I've tried restarting it with no result. It will occasionally come on bright but after a few seconds it's dim again and I can't get it back. This is indoors and is still difficult to read. Outside with any amount of sunlight, it's impossible to read.

Where is the setting for brightness? Should I be looking on the app or on my phone. The phone is difficult because I can barely see it.

Not sure what you are asking. In the app settings are grayed out, so cant be changed, not even from normal to auto. But why are they the only choices? What if a user has limited vision and wants an even brighter screen? On the watch I was told to swipe left, it turns out you should swipe right. The normal/auto choices there didn’t help because clearly something else was going on. The screen had been readable before the update.

That’s great but my only choices are normal and auto. How do you get bright?

Thanks Alejandra your instructions certainly fix the issue temporarily however the Fitbit must have a bug because it keeps changing it self back to Dim every time is low in battery or after charging.

Also the battery for Fitbit 3 does not last and the Fitbit becomes faulty at around 20% charge! This was not the case of previous versions. It also goes dead at times fully charged by the way and for no reason it’s starts flashing the battery sign on the screen, it goes black and when I put it to charge it’s over 50% charged...

Overall I’ve had a lot of issues with Fitbit 3. I will not be buying another one and certainly do not recommend. My first Fitbit never had issues but the versions after that are not as good.

My charge 3 is becoming useless. I can’t read it outside and it quite dim inside. Having tried everything been suggested by Fitbit,  I’m at a loss. Please help me.

There is no hope or help. Fitbit has left us Charge 3 users high and dry,
wasting money on a broken cruddy product.

Think our only plan is to contact Fitbit directly. There is obviously a design fault with our charge 3

How did you fix this

That is definitely a problem with the Charge 3. Fitbit's only response was
to develop a Charge 4.

Feel free, but I have gotten nowhere. Fitbit won’t acknowledge there is a
huge flaw in the Charge 3; all they will do is offer a measly 25% off a new
purchase.

It has not been fixed. Right now I can barely see the screen. Wish I had the Apple watch!! I know there is help a phone call away. You would think that Fitbit with all its products would have a help desk to call. I’ve read a lot of complaints from others who have been frustrated about this problem. Seems the guys at Fitbit don’t give a **ahem**!

So the Fitbit people should let people trade in their charge 3 for a charge 4. No extra $$! Big problem for me is that there’s no where to go for quick answer or a fix!!!😡

Unless they confirm and fix the problem I’ll spend more money for the Apple Watch because I know that if I have a problem there’s someone on the other end of the phone who will help out!!!

I have thought about this. It does lock you into an Iphone, but that isn't the worst thing, I guess.
