My Charge 3 screen is excessively dim, even with a full charge. I've tried restarting it with no result. It will occasionally come on bright but after a few seconds it's dim again and I can't get it back. This is indoors and is still difficult to read. Outside with any amount of sunlight, it's impossible to read.

Hi mine is the same. My daughter also has a charge 3 and hers is so much brighter. She reset it for me and checked settings for brightness and it’s no better. Please can you advise what I should do? I loved my older Fitbit, but this one is really rubbish.

The only thing you can do is contact Fitbit. This isn't fixable. Hopefully your Fitbit is still in warranty which is 12 months.

Any further updates on this. I cant read my messages most of the time as it’s too dim and if I manage to read the message I haven’t a chance of seeing who the message is from.

Fitbit have agreed to replace mine.
Is 13 months old. 50 percent off a new one or replacement. Unfortunately the new does not include the charge 4 so I'm going for replacement.
Am glad as prefer fit bit over the other ones.
Hope they honour it for others as definitely a fault

I used twitter and made contact that way. Fitbit Support.
They then direct messaged me and we did the rest by email.
So either really! Good luck

I contacted Fitbit online - initially via Twitter- they raised a case and then I was contacted by email. At no time did they ask me how long I had the Fitbit but they did ask where I bought it and what country I lived in. I’m afraid for people not in Australia they may not have the same happy outcome. But good luck and do post how you go.

The screen is too dim and unreadable. I tried to change the settings, but it might be at the highest setting. This wasn't an issue when I bought the Fitbit, but a change over time.

I tried your suggestion. I went to the settings menu on the device, found brightness, tapped it, the screen immediately went black and it won't come back. I've tried 8-second button press reset. I get a very dim smile eventually, but nothing else. I've tried to access the apps menu from the FitBit app and all I get is a spinning circle, forever (apparently).
Thanks a lot for the suggestion, it took me from a poorly-working product to a completely useless one. Good job!

It’s so frustrating that this is such an issue for so many people. Try and link your watch with your computer and contact Fitbit ... via the website. They replaced my watch Free of charge, well after warranty expired. It seems like Australian regulations may have been in play here as the laws dictate a product must be fit for purpose. Clearly an inability to see a watch does not meet that. Good luck. My replacement fine so far but not sure how long this one will work.

My brightness allows Normal and Auto. Both are exceptionally dim.

That’s great. Had you had the watch past the warranty period? And do you live in Australia?

I must say I’m enjoying my new watch but am interested to see if it occurs again. Hope not but maybe they corrrected the issue??
