My Charge 3 screen is excessively dim, even with a full charge. I've tried restarting it with no result. It will occasionally come on bright but after a few seconds it's dim again and I can't get it back. This is indoors and is still difficult to read. Outside with any amount of sunlight, it's impossible to read.

After trying to have it replaced 5 times already. I just tried it one more time and got a replacement finally. They just made me follow the troublehooting steps (it didn't work, of course) and sent me the replacement link.

Went for the replacement. I thought about the charge 4 but it's still on preorder.

Note in the UK the charge 4 is not included in the 50 percent off deal so be wary of clicking that option as there's no going back - which is exactly what I did intending to get a 4.....

Can you get the 50% on the versa 2 or do you know if it has to be a tracker.
thanks

I have had my charge 3 for 9 months now. It was a special birthday present last August and I love it.
so disappointed that the display is now dull/ patchy and not visible at all in sunlight. I have tried all the suggestions on the forum and nothing works.

Make sure you immediately contact Fitbit online. Yours should still be under warranty and they should replace it. Mine was replaced even after the warranty period but I live in Australia and we have ‘fit for purpose’ laws here which give extra protection. Many have not been so fortunate. But if you have had yours for only 9 months it should be covered. And for your own sake don’t delay. They initially talked to me from their website (to Twitter) which I found strange but then they raised a request and I was contacted by email. I was offered a free replacement for a Charge 3 or 50% off a Charge 4. I took the free replacement and so far so good. Just a month now. Good luck.

I have done the recommended steps, along with a reboot. The screen is so dim, even in a darker room. I am very disappointed.

Thanks so much for your advice it is much appreciated!!
Bit tricky at first for me to make contact as I am not on social media but my teenagers helped and I made contact with Fit bit and they are sending a replacement Charge 3.
I hope I have better luck with this one as up until this issue, it was working fine.

If it's still under guarantee, I would get in touch with support because they replaced mine and it's so much better.

Has this been resolved? My dim setting is black and normal is now dim.. and auto does nothing but stay dim. I’ve tried a hard reset and restart...
