There is only one explanation for this: Force obsolescence.
This has nothing to do with a hardware problem, it's a software problem where the company is actively trying to make old customer's lives a misery.
Prove me wrong. Important disclaimer, only way to prove is to make the full codebase available to us. There is no way the brightness was this low when I purchased this product.

I am agreeing with you here. Last time there was a software update was 2020. Brightness is impossible to sustain anymore. This is only trying to force us to purchase a newer version. Please correct this issue and give us an update to fix the problem. Thank you.
