Charge 3 showing error 001

I have not turned on my Fitbit for months, now I have decided to charge it and it has been stuck on a screen with the Fitbit logo and 001. I have tried holding down the side button for it to restart but it doesn’t buzz, nor restart. Does anyone have any similar problems and solutions? Thank you.

@mont8374 Please make sure you're restating your Charge 3 as suggested by this help article. If that doesn't help, I recommend performing a long restart, by following the steps below: 

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

i'm having the same problem, the regular restart didn't do anything. and when i've tried the long restart there was no battery icon with two vibrations, only a smiley face & then blank screen. the device only comes back on with the 001 error code again 😕

I'm the same tried the long restart and doesnt show anything just a blank screen then after a while the error code 001 shows. Its vibrates when I hold it down that's it
