Charge 3 sleep and notifications issues

I was having sleep sync and charge issues with my Fitbit Charge 2.

 

Issue #1:  So late last week I purchased the Charge 3. Got it all set up yesterday and it won't track my sleep! I went through the restart process, etc. I have checked my Fitbit app, OS version, etc. and I'm current. When I purchased my Charge 2 it synced my sleep right out of the box and did so for 2 years until the last several months.

 

Issue #2: I set it up so that I would only receive notifications if I received a message. None are getting through.

 

Very disappointed to buy a new product, not have it work out of the box and find out from this forum that there are multiple problems. I primarily use sleep and step tracking and would like receive the text message notifications. Step tracking seems to work okay and the unit is syncing, I just don't get sleep data and the watch says "no sleep data recorded". And I can get text message notifications.

 

Is anything being done to actually solve these issues?

I understand how are you feeling and appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix these issues. If your Charge 3 isn't registering your sleep try the following:

  1. Manually sync the Fitbit. See instructions in the help article: How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
  2. Restart the Fitbit. See instructions in the help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the Fitbit on your non-dominant hand.
  4. If steps 1-3 don't work, I suggest manually logging your sleep to reflect the time slept. See instructions in the help article: How do I change my sleep history?

 

Now about the notifications, our team is aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible, sorry for any inconvenience it's caused and appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

I did all of those things.  It did track last night (Sun) for the first time.  I'm hoping that will continue.

Glad to hear you are "working on it" - hope results will be soon.

I also mentioned that I am still not getting text messages on my Charge 3.  Why would that be?

I am glad to hear that your tracker registered your sleep.

Alehandra,

 

Since it tracked one night; now it's not doing it correctly.  Is there a fix coming or do i continually have to restart my C3?

I hope the fix for receiving messages is soon.
