Charge 3 steps inaccurate

Last night before bed my Charge 3 showed 9400 steps for the day, this morning my dashboard only showed 7181 for that day.

Are you making sure that your tracker is syncing properly? If this is a syncing issue, I recommend checking the article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provided there.
