Charge 3 stopped working after getting wet

This is so frustrating, I was bought a charge 3 for Christmas last year, thinking that it would be so much more versatile than my previous Fitbit. How wrong was I? The very first I went swimming it went completely off the rails and started flashing and vibrating until the battery died. I did all that was asked of me but alas the bit was dead. To give Fitbit credit they replaced the unit pretty promptly. With caution I wore my new charge 3 this time making sure I did not come into contact with water. I never showered with it or swam with it. It worked as it should do. Then by accident I had water poured on it whilst at work. Guess what? Yes it’s done exactly the same thing again. Flashing messages up and vibrating until the battery died. I have charged it, rebooted it and still the battery lasts about 2 hrs then dies again. Am I just completely unlucky or are these Charge 3’s just simply not even water resistant? HELP

This is the EXACT problem I had yesterday! I bought the Charge 3 about 18 months ago because I could swim with it... for various reasons, yesterday was the first time I could get back in the pool. After only about 15 minutes of swimming, I noticed the screen was on the fritz and now it is completely not working at all. I tried to charge it but it just flashed and vibrated and now... nothing. I'm sure it's way past any sort of warrantee period, but I'm so disappointed.
