My charge 3's screen freezes, by which I mean that the touch inputs don't work. The first time, I googled how to fix it and found instructions for a soft reset (attach to charger, hold button for 8 seconds, iirc), this works temporarily, but then the screen freezes again. I found instructions for a hard reset (attach to charger, hold button for 15 seconds, iirc), and again this works but only temporarily. In either case, the screen freezes again, touch inputs don't work.
I used the app on my phone to change to a different watch face to show more stats, and they do update throughout the day, but I still cannot use the touch interface for more than ~8 seconds after resetting. The watch face is basically unusable, though it does record information.
Any suggestions on what to try to fix it?

An update: I contacted support through live chat today. They concluded that my charge 3 is "defective," but not covered under warranty. They did offer me 25% off buying another, but that would be pretty foolish of me.
I may buy another one at Best Buy and get the 2 year extended warranty - I wish I'd gotten the extra warranty the first time. I'm also considering just getting a tracker from a different company.

Another update: Best Buy no longer offers extended warranties on Fitbits. According to the person that I talked to on the live chat on their website, they stopped offering it about 2 years ago.
