Does the Charge 3 do this the way the Charge 2 did? I haven’t used my Fitbit in over a year, and am considering buying a new one to track sleep, but not if it lights up every time I move my arm during the night.

Regarding your inquiry, your tracker shouldn't turn on if you have the "screen wake" option off. To make sure it is off, you need to press and hold the side button of your Charge 3 until it vibrates, then tap the “screen wake” option to adjust this setting.
