Charge 3 will NOT sync with Samsung Android phone

I've done all the things people are suggesting and still Charge 3 will not connect to my phone despite:

  1. Charge 3 visible on Bluetooth list
  2. Fitbit App says it's found it.

Still It won't connect.   Is this me?  Does the Fitbit not like me?   My old Surge worked but was a bit large and uncomfortable so I "upgraded" - so much for a sodding upgrade.   

I'm seriosly considering getting one of those cheap chinese knock-off FitPals as they seem to work.

Has anyone got a reliable method of getting their Charge 3 to sync?

Thanks for getting back to us @demsley and for your assistance @Odyssey13. I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to sync your Charge 3 and I appreciate that you have already done all the suggestions.

I know how frustrating this could be and could you please try pairing your Charge 3 again? Follow the instructions of: How do I set up a replacement device or add a second device to my account?
