Charge 3 won't turn on

Fitbit Charge 3 constantly switching between clock face and Screen Awake/Notification screen while buzzing with every change. Will not turn off. I've tried restarting several times, but nothing changes

Update: I deleted device, tried to set up again. Bluetooth can't find it. Now it does nothing, plugged in, see smiley face, nothing else. No lights on back. Is it dead?

Hi Sarahvb, sorry you are having the same trouble. I called customer service and they are sending a replacement as mine was still under warranty. The process was relatively painless. Hope you can do the same.

A warm welcome to the Community @Renie21.

Thanks for troubleshooting this display issue. Have you tried to perform a long restart? If you haven't, I recommend trying this by doing the following:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Let me know the outcome. Man Happy

I've done all of the above because that's your answer on all similar posts. NOTHING WORKS. I get a smiley face that pulses about every 10 seconds. Taking it off the charging cable the screen goes bank and pulses occasionally. Putting it back on the charging cable, smiley face reappears. That's all.

I’m having the exact same problem. Had charged my Fitbit fully yesterday, wore to bed as usual, blank screen when I woke up.

Put it it on to charge and am having the same experience you describe above. If I get the clock face to show and press anything it just shows the screen wake/notification screen the restarts. Have tried everything above multiple times...

Also having the exact same problem and tried all recommended restarts but nothing seems to work. Is this a manufacturing issue?

Hello Alejandra:

I had an accident and had to charge 3 off for 3 months, now it wont turn on.

I have tried what you said to do, I connect , keep pushed for a few seconds, it shakes and then nothing else, it keeps black.

Any idea of else can I do ??  It was working perfectly before I had to stop using it for 3 months.

Thanks for your answer

Regards

Hello , My fitbit charge 3 screen was fuzzy for a few minutes and suddenly turned blank and unresponsive ! Ive tried the soft reset ( connected to charging dock, pressed the left button for 15 seconds ) etc but to no avail .

Are there any other trouble shooting methods which I should try ?

I had the same experience (switching between screens on it's own), except when I plug it in nothing happens at all, no smiley face, nothing. How did you end up resolving the previous user's issue? I tried the steps below but it won't even do the hard restart. When I hold the side button, I get no vibration or anything appearing on the screen. Thank you!

Fitbit replaced it. Seems it’s a common issue.
