Charge 4 Set Up Issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 4 would not sync with my phone.

I followed the advice on here and restarted both my phone and Fitbit, I also cleared the Bluetooth connections to the Fitbit, this did not work

next

I removed the app and reinstalled the app, no luck getting them to sync

so I followed the advice here and disconnected the charge 4 from my account restarted the charge 4 and removed the app and restarted the phone, added the app back on and I am trying to add the charge 4 back onto my account

I got as far as entering the PIN number to connect the phone and Fitbit, I then get a message on the Fitbit screen saying to download the app or up date the app and can go no further in getting the app/phone to connect with the charge 4.

I have checked the settings and when the app and watch are trying to connect/sync the charge 4 is showing on the Bluetooth device list, once I close the app or the connection times out the charge 4 is not showing on the Bluetooth device list

Hi there @Icestone. Welcome to Community Forums.

I am sorry to hear you're having some issues when trying to set up your Fitbit Charge 4. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps performed. Please give one more try to the following steps:

  1. On your phone, tap Settings > Bluetooth > the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  3. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. See this link.
  4. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  5. Reboot your phone.
  6. Restart your Fitbit with the steps from this help article.
  7. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  8. Choose your Fitbit from the list and follow the onscreen instructions.

For complete troubleshooting instructions, see Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I'll be around.

I’ve done ALL of this and I STILL can’t get my Fitbit onto my Fitbit account. Driving me crazy.

I am having the same problem and have tried all the same things and still get the same response: download or update the app (both of which have been done), help! The sleep function is very important to me, as well as tracking the heart trends!

Would like to add that I have used this just fine until the last update I believe and now, even though the Fitbit is showing connected on my iPad and my Android phone it won’t connect past the stage of entering the four digits it gives me.

I did it in the end and I have no idea how, as otherwise I would share it. Th only things I can think of that I did differently to the other 10 or so times are that I switched off Bluetooth on my phone for a longer time (counted to a minute) and once I got to the stage where I had put in the four-digit code and got the ‘trying to connect’-type message, I just left the phone and went and did something else. When I came back 30 minutes later, it was functioning and syncing.

Sent from my iPhone so please forgive the atrocious typos

This is absolutely the right call. I went outside, washed the car, came back in, voila, Charge 4 back on line.
