Charge 4 and Eero Router

I have spent countless hours with Fitbit Customer Service and Eero Customer Service because my Charge 4 and the new Charge 5 I purchased will not "Sync over my home WiFi ... I tried calling your Customer Service, but he would not listen to my issue.  I tried explaining to him that the issue was with the Eero Router and not with my phone or my work Wi-Fi.   There is an issue with the Fitbit App syncing my Fitbit Charge 5 with my WiFi at my house. I purchased a Charge 5, thinking my Charge 4 no longer worked. I had the same issue and have since sent it back to your Customer Service for a new Charge 5  to be sent to me. The problem is that I am unable to set-up the device and the device (both the Charge 4 and Charge 5) will only sync over Cellular Data and not on my home Wi-Fi. This is not a viable option for me. I always get this error:
The operation couldn't be completed. (com.fitbit.HTTP error ***.)
What do I need to do with my WiFi or what does the Fitbit App need to fix in order for this to work? I have not had issues with my Fitbit syncing until just recently. I believe I started having issues around the end of January. Please advise so that I do not have to use Cellular Data to sync my Charge 4 and I don't have to use Cellular Data when you send my new Charge 5.

Please advise on how to resolve this issue.

Thank you,

You did not yet indicate what Fitbit should do to make this right.

@Tlrobbie , Nice to see you around. Thank you for your message and feedback.

To have a closer look at your case, could you provide the error number you got  on the error message?

Please on your phone

  • Go to Settings.>Apps>Fitbit app. (path may vary depending on your OS version)
  • Make sure that the option which says local network is on.

See you around

Thank you for that information.  However, when I go to Settings>Fitbit, there is not a choice for "local network is on". The choices are "Location"; "Bluetooth"; "Microphone"; "Siri & Search"; "Notifications"; "Background App Refresh"; and "Cellular Data".  On the Privacy portion of Settings>Local Networks>Fitbit is not one of the Apps that is present.  How do I do this?

Thank you.

@Tlrobbie , Nice to see you back.

Thank you for your messages. It seems that the screenshot was not uploaded, could you please reattach it to your reply?

To provide you with a specific path for the settings, could you please let me know the phone model and OS version?

See you around.

Well, it seems that this issue is never going to be resolved......very frustrating and makes me want to think twice about continuing with having a Fitbit Device.  This will be my third Charge device.  I have had a Charge 3, a Charge 4 and am waiting for my replacement Charge 5.  Maybe, this will be the last one I purchase and will move onto another device that works with my Eero and my phone.

Thank you,

Terrie Robbie
