Charge 4: display non-responsive

Hi there!

A few days ago my Fitbit died on my wrist, while I was trying to start a workout session. Came home and charged it, tried to reboot it more times than I can remember but it would not "wake up". I tried doing all the tricks I found online, including changing clock, resetting while plugged in and charging but it is still not responsive. When I change the clock or reboot the device, it will show the bar loading and the smiley face and then go blank again. Doesn't respond to touch or movement. It still reads my data in the app and syncs with my phone, but obviously it's mostly just a decoration on my wrist right now. The device never suffered any physical or water damage. Another thing I noticed that there is only one flashing light at the back of the device, when before all of them would keep flashing.

So it appears that the display is "dead" although not really, as it shows the 😃 and when the bar loads.

Customer support tried helping, but very much suggested all the things that I already tried and nothing worked, so they sent me to warranty department, which "kindly" offered 35% off my next purchase. I'm not here for a subscription based product and I expected it to last well beyond one year. So I'm switching to Garmin, but while I'm waiting for my order to come, is there anything else I can do to make the display work and show my data/time?

Thank you!

@dracocaelestis  , Nice to see you here. Thank you for your tries with the restart and for contacting Support.

As Support already offered you your replacement offer, our team  identified that the Charge 4 will not work properly.

In that case, you could use the Fitbit App to track your steps.

Or if the Charge 4 is tracking your steps, and you see them after syncing you could use SmartTrack to allow the Charge 4 autorecognize your activities. More about this, can be read here:

See you around.
