I was having problems with my Charge 4 the battery was not holding a charge
I charged it up and i saw that there was a firmware update.
I ran the firmware update and it is now at version 48.20001.100.76
I am not sure if this was a problem before i did the firmware update
Now The display on my fit bit is working fine
but the back of the fit bit (the side that contacts my wrist) normally
there is a green light but now that green light is not on
It is not recording my steps or heart rate.
I did try rebooting the fitbit but that did not seem to fix the probme
Anyone have any ideas?

Hello there, @Robert_J_S. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 4 before reaching out.
To better assist you, please make sure you've restarted your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
If the above doesn't work, may I know if your Charge 4 is vibrating when you try performing the restart? If your Fitbit device doesn't vibrate, please try recharging it again and see how it goes later.
Keep me posted.

I did the Fitbit Restart.
I did the restart by
1 going to the "Settings" menu on the fitbit watch.
2 going to the "About" menu from the Senttings menu.
3 when to the "Reboot Device" from the About Menu
4 Scrolled down to and clicked the Check Mark.
This rebooted/restarted the fitbit.
Did not fix the problem
I did change the clock menu this did NOT fix the problem
The display on my fit bit is working fine
but the back of the fit bit (the side that contacts my wrist) normally
there is a green flashing light but now that green light is not on.
.
It is not recording my steps or heart rate.

Hi Robert,
As a long time Fitbit user, I've noticed for a few iterations, when i update the device with the newest firmware (and with friends that have also updated), it completely bricks the device so that you're forced to buy a new one. I don't know if this is with your situation, but I've found it really frustrating. They'll offer a really small discount for you to buy a new device, but i think it might be their main revie revenue or something.
I hope you got your problem fixed and this is just with my own experience, but it's happened to 2 of my past Fitbits. I have learned to live without the other features like my device buzzing when i hit my step goal (which i really did love and now i have to get used to not having that feature anymore.
Good luck!
