I have a charge for that I've had for a couple years now and had little trouble with. But recently it has stopped recording workout sessions. I usually walk for 30 to 60 minutes every morning and it has logged that workout with heart rate, calories burned, step counts and distance automatically. But all of a sudden it's not capturing that workout. It's showing the normal zone minutes, time at the usual heart rate levels, steps, calories, distance and everything else ... But it's not changing the color for having worked out on that particular. Obviously the point is workout. Not what it shows on the Fitbit tracker or the app but it's really annoying. I want it to show the workout. But it's not. It's showing everything but that I did the workout that day. Which means if I manually add the workout then it's going to alter the data that's in the app. It's like it captures all of the data except that I worked out. Honestly, this is the exact stupid nonsense some of my fitbits have done in the past. But this one has not had as many problems as previous ones. I know I can manually track the workouts. I've never had to do that. It just seems like it'd be easier if the dumb thing just captured it like it used to. I'm at a loss. I have of course multiple times, made sure the app software is up to date cleared the cache, rebooting the phone, rebooting the app, rebooting the Fitbit. None of its helped. Thank you for your support. Apologies for the typos. I injured my thumb too but that's a different problem.

Hi @VeggieHiker. Welcome to the community forums.
Thank you for taking the time to share all this information regarding this difficulty with your Charge 4 and for trying to fix it on your own.
As you may know, your exercises will be auto-recognized through SmartTrack based on the continuous movement of your arms.
Since you didn't mention it in your post, I'd suggest you -even if your walks are usually much longer- change the time you set for your walks in the Fitbit app. For example the time for walk from 15 to 10 mins. If by any case you set auto recongnition for run, please desable it.
Even if you have tried it many times, restart your tracker once more.
In addition, I'd ask you track the workout manually for 3 times in order the device "relearns" again your movement patterns.

Thanks for the reply - I tried both approaches and set my walk/workout time to 10 minutes - and restarted my fitbit a few more times - just for kicks. It's been tracking accurately since then.
Cheers to you & Happy Holidays
