My Charge 4 screen started getting dimmer this week. Now it is unreadable and unusable. I've tried restarting and changing the brightness to no avail. I've tried other things suggested in the forums, also to no avail. I received the Charge 4 as a gift only 2 years ago. Is it's lifespan really so short?

I had a charge 3 and 4 and this happened with both of them around the two year mark. On my original charge 3 I kept wearing it for a whole year after the display went black because although the display no longer worked all the information collected by the Fitbit still showed up in my app. I too tried all the suggestions and nothing fixed it. Today I just activated my second charge 4 because because my first one went dark about 3 weeks ago and I had another new one and just decided to activate it because I don't want to go another year with it dark, even though it was technically still collecting all the information correctly. Two years does seem to be the limit on these things in my experience though. Once this Fitbit is done I will most likely be considering an apple watch.
