Backlight too dim to read. I have gone to settings and selected normal. It was ok for a couple of days. Now it doesn’t get brighter by selecting normal

As per the description of your post, it seems that your Charge 4 is in sleep mode. When the sleep mode setting is on:
To turn off Sleep Mode, please swipe left from the clock face on your watch to access the quick settings. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?
