Charge 4 screen too dim

I woke up one morning and my charge 4 was so dimmed I could barely see anything on the screen. Now, if I’m in a completely dark room, I can sometimes see what’s on the screen. But it’s so dimmed it’s difficult to see. But the brightness is in normal, dnd is off and sleep is off. It vibrates when it should, like when I get a message, and it counts steps and activity. 
I have tried restart it, both in settings and when it’s connected to a charger. I have tried changing clock faces. Both multiple times. I have tried disconnecting it from my phone. It doesn’t get any better. I still can’t see a thing on the screen. 
Any other suggestions? It just turned two years so the warranty is out, and I really don’t want to buy another one right now.

Same problem here for a longer time now. I can only read it because the digita are to dim. I do not use it anymore as i can not read it 9 out of the 10 times. A solution is requested many times and many places by several people on the internet, but nothing helps. I do not think Fitbit is willing to dive in to it, because every reply gives the same suggestions as you allready tried and they act like its te first time they hear about this problem. Yes, im realy disappointed.
