Charge 4 suddenly added extra steps

At about 8:30 this morning my Charge 4 buzzed and I glanced down, didn't see anything except the usual time/steps display. A few minutes later I actually took the time to read the display and it had a little over 27,000 steps showing. Just a few minutes earlier I had been slightly under 2,000 steps. What happened and how do I get it to reset?

If you are having problems with your tracker giving you extra information, you can restart it by following the steps in the article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?.

Mine added 90000 while I was charging it this morning.

I tried rebooting the fitbit 4 times and it is still showing 90000 steps
