I think I ran the battery completely dead, then plugged it up and left it overnight. The next morning, it would not turn on and will only vibrate when I push the power button or remove it from the charger. I have spent the past week looking for solutions and have tried the following already:
1) Force restart by holding power button for 5-8 seconds - this results in a smiley face appearing but nothing else
2) Force close the app - no effect on issue
3) Used different wall outlet - no effect on issue
4) Cleaned charging contacts - no effect on issue
5) Used brand new charger - no effect on issue
6) Disconnect watch from app and attempt reconnect - will not reconnect because watch does not appear to be charging
No matter what "solution" I've found and tried, the only response from the watch I can get is a vibration and a smiley face.

Hi Tshudoe, I am not a moderator, you can not find a moderator who can explain why this tracker drains battery in few hours (except they can only say close GPS, use phone GPS etc. which dont effect battery drain). Mine has gone last week. But I can say how to get screen back. Open phone fitbit app. and upload a different clock face to your tracker. It worked for me (if tracker vibrates when you push button).
(Then you can put it in trash and buy a Garmin. Battery drain issue is for 2 years and no solution, but they can offer you a discount and buy Charge 5, then you can put it in trash after 6 months )
