My Charge 4 clock will only appear if I push in side button, it will not appear if I tap the screen  or move my wrist.

This is controlled by 'Screen Wake' in quick settings....

 

To check if it's on (and to enable it if it's not):

 

Press and hold the side button. then swipe up. You'll see 'Screen Wake'

 

If the lightbulb is 'illuminated', screen wake is on and you should be able to display the screen if you touch it or turn your wrist towards you. If the bulb is dim, simply touch the screen on the wake setting to light up the bulb and you should be set.

 

NOTE: If your Charge 4 happens to be set in Sleep Mode, screen wake won't work if it (sleep mode) is enabled. Sleep mode is another setting in quick settings and appears above the screen wake setting. So turn off sleep mode and your Charge 4 should operate exactly as you want it to
