I’m having an issue with my charge HR.
I haven’t been able to get it to work for a while so I found out about the reset (plug USB cable in and hold in button until Fitbit symbol comes up). This is all fine and I can see the symbol, however as soon as I disconnect it from the cable it goes back to blank and I can’t get it to do anything else. The device is fully charged.
Any ideas?

Lauren199. My Charge HR died recently and I bought one (new) on eBay. The new one behaved exactly like you describe straight out of the box. Luckily the eBay seller allowed me to return it.
If you bought the Charge HR in a store or from Fitbit, they are pretty good about providing a replacement if the Charge HR is under warranty (less than a year old). The warranty doe not cover eBay, however. I don't think Fitbit would replace the Charge HR, they don't sell them anymore. So they would probably give you a discount on another model.
You should try calling Fitbit support.
They'll probably suggest cleaning the contacts, resetting it again and recharging it again. But that didn't help my situation. I did find on my earlier Charge HR that continuing to hold the button down resulting in seeing a battery with a '!' symbol. Getting to that and recharging helped for about a week. But then it just completely died.
